Identification Tips:

- Sexes similar
- United States range restricted to southeastern Arizona
Similar species:
The Whiskered Screech-Owl is very similar in plumage to Western and Eastern
Screech-Owls and is best separated by voice. Other small owls lack prominent
ear tufts.
