Peregrine Falcons are also resident in Trans-Pecos Texas. In CY 1997, observers monitored 21 historical aeries in the Big Bend portion Texas; 10 of these sites were active. Eight of the 10 sites fledged 17 Peregrines. These aeries are located in Big Bend National Park and the canyons adjacent to the park. Additionally, Guadalupe Mts National Park to the north invariably has a resident pair of Peregrines. In CY 1997, two Peregrines were fledged from GMtsNP.
