Wilson's Plover

Much work on the breeding and wintering ecology of this species has been done in Venezuela by a research team directed by Dr Raymond McNeil from Montreal University. I personally studied aspects of its time and energy budget in winter and my results indicate that Wilson's Plover is by far mainly a nocturnal bird from October to March. Breeding studies were conducted by a colleague named Michel Thibault. Papers about our results were published between 1980 to 1995.
